Models eat too: Amanda Strang's food blog
Amanda S teaches us how to make "banana banoffee pie" (as opposed to, like, apple banoffee pie) from store bought pie crust and tinned things. Few seasoned chefs can handle bananas (5:58) quite as enticingly as she does.
Model and TV personality Amanda Strang launched her blog Bonjour Amanda last month, filling the site with recipes, restaurant reviews and video cooking lessons hosted by her. The 5’7”, 105 pound French-Chinese waif puts her glam foodie life on display, from a birthday dinner in Paris with Italian beau Christian to dinners at Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide and patisserie lessons taught by world-renowned chefs.
The former model made her debut in foodie-dom with appearances on celebrity gastronome Chua Lam's popular TVB show as "the hot girl who eats next to Chua Lam." Strang's most defining characteristics on the show were her incredible appetite and heavily-accented, near-incomprehensible Cantonese. The latter of which she's carried through to her video cooking lessons -- and it's garnered her a lot of fans. Strang is a babe, she likes to spend time in the kitchen, and she struggles adorably with Cantonese. What more could a Hong Kong guy dream about?
