Billed by the Trade Development Council as "Asia’s largest fashion event," the less informed might attend the events expecting something akin to London Fashion Week, but it's actually essentially a trade fair for the regional garments industry. Nevertheless, Hong Kong's most popular couturiers Dorian Ho and William Tang, as well as Beijing Olympics costumer Guo Pei and Japan’s Toshikazu Iwaya came out to send their latest collections down the catwalks yesterday at Hong Kong Fashion Week. Hong Kong Fashion Week ends on January 21 with the semi-finals for the Fashion World Talent Awards, dubbed Hong Kong’s "Project Runway."
