Manchester United Restaurant Bar Hong Kong
The Manchester United Restaurant Bar has just had their soft opening in Hong Kong. Their fans pop up in all sorts of places, and now Manchester United bars seem to be following suit. The themed eatery is everything you would expect from a Red Devils' shrine: spacious fire truck-red interior with chain link fence partitioning, an extensive collection of Man Utd memorabilia on sale and menus based on the team's real diet.

The walls of the cafe are covered in photos of the stars of the team, past and present, and there is a timeline of the club's history as well as famous quotes from coaches, like Alex Ferguson's "If you're second, you are nothing." Enjoying your beer while staring at those big bright red letters is an experience.

The menu is of gourmet meats, like Iberian porkchops, but there is also a low-fat menu called the Carrington Menu, which is based on the healthy diets of the Man Utd footballers. Huge plasma screens are hung everywhere to broadcast games, and even the men's toilets have mini screens above urinals, but curiously, the women's do not. This year's FIFA World Cup will most probably be broadcast at the joint.
