Asia is the next big Christian thang
MC Hammer's former right-hand man, Chinese-American Jaeson Ma, has become what has to to be the world's most prominent Asian hip-hop pastor, travelling the globe and spreading the Christian word of God through music. His upcoming documentary, "1040," explores the key role he believes Asia will play during the End Times.
Ma's blog says, "The current global shifts (are) not only politically, economically, militaristically, but also spiritually in the Far East … Asia is the future and we must understand it’s leadership in God’s ultimate plan to bring the nations to His glory. Currently, Asia is experiencing the fastest growing movement of Christian expansion historically with over 40,000 people coming to Christ in East Asia mainland daily, the largest churches in the world residing in South Korea, the largest Muslim nation Indonesia is now possibly over 20% Christian." Meaning: the Messiah might just show up in Hong Kong. (Start thinking about what you'll be wearing now!)
Pastor Ma is famous in Hong Kong for converting Edison Chen, whom Ma writes about on his popular blog. But Ma's success doesn't stem only from his intuitive understanding of social media; he's also an incredibly charming public speaker, as evidenced in the YouTube clip below. In it, Ma recounts to a University of Texas crowd his touching personal story, peppering it with hilarious racial jokes. He's like an Asian Chris Rock, only he throws around the 'G' word instead.
Watch this space for the Hong Kong release date of "1040" in the near future.
