Flash mob descends on Causeway Bay Times Square
The Hong Kong Shark Foundation reckoned that the best way to protest against shark fin consumption was to stand silent and still—which was exactly what they did last Saturday in Causeway Bay.
A flash mob of around 150 people descended on Times Square at 12:40pm and held their poses for three minutes to raise awareness for their cause. One participant lost no time in pinching the bottom of a lady dressed in a figure-hugging skirt; others saw it as an opportunity to channel John Travolta in broad daylight.

The Hong Kong Shark Foundation is coordinating a Facebook campaign to call upon Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang to ban shark fin soup from the city’s menus in his upcoming policy address.
Flashmob organizer Jerry McLean said he will be organizing another flash mob in the following months.
