Tastebuds are in for a roller coaster ride at each of Joel Robuchon's restaurants around the world and this outpost in Hong Kong doesn't disappoint, serving delectable French food to the in-crowd at one of the sexiest dining spots in town.

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon's dramatic red and black interior alone is a feast for the eyes. And while foodies have mumbled that Hong Kong's L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon doesn't rank equal with Robuchon's more traditional restaurant in Macau, L'Atelier's food still impresses.

Executive chef Philippe Groult plays skillfully with seasonal ingredients and traditional French cooking techniques, with excellent concoctions such as la Cailleí, a dish of free range quail with foie gras, served with Robuchon's famous velvety mashed potatoes. Another classic is the sea urchin in a lobster jelly topped with cauliflower cream.

did not try l'atelier Robuchon however we were able to make a trip to the Salon de The Robouchon. This is where we enjoyed the most scrumptious chocolate tart ever. The creaminess of the chocolate enveloping the crispness of the tart was heavenly. Each bite was followed by a craving of the next. I would highly recommend the tarts.
