Island Tang: Gourmet Chinese

Island Tang is China Club cuisine and ambience without the membership fee. This sister restaurant to London’s China Tang is the place to sample all the Chinese favorites -- Peking duck, dim sum, rose-scented honey-glazed barbecue pork.

With its plush banquettes and leather armchair seating, Island Tang's clubby atmosphere is tempered with hints of 1930s art deco Shanghai and a dash of Wong Kar-Wai’s nostalgia-chic thrown in.

If you expect to have the Peking duck (HK$438), be sure to order it a day in advance or it will likely be sold out. Island Tang also has an extensive menu of delicacies such as birds' nest, abalone, shark fin and sea cucumber to impress Chinese clients.
