Hutong is a popular place to take out-of-town-guests and first dates with its seductive decor evocative of a traditional Beijing house and the quintessential element in a top Hong Kong restaurant: stunning views of the skyline.

The menu is an innovative take on regional Chinese cuisine. Statement-making dishes are beautifully presented and great conversation pieces for out of towners, such as the black fungus and sharks' lips salad, the "red lantern," a soft shell crab that comes in a wicker basket brimming with red peppers,  and Hutong's signature crispy de-boned lamb ribs.

The word "hutong" is the Mandarin term for the narrow alleyways that divide traditional houses in Beijing's old city. The restaurant's menu and decor were inspired by the Chinese capital's atmospheric old neighborhoods.
