He cooks! He sings! Enrico Innocenti is the magical musical chef!
Enrico Innocenti, the singing chef, takes on the kitchen and the stage this month at Duetto.Chef Enrico Innocenti says he remembers being in the kitchen as a child, watching his grandmother cooking and singing. Perhaps owing to the influence of his beloved nonna, Innocenti later became a professional musician, performing throughout Italy while pulling double duty as a chef.
At present, Innocenti is based in Glasgow where he's the chef de cuisine and performer at La Toscanella Restaurant. He's taking a break from Scotland to bring his family’s recipes -- and his favorite love songs -- to new Wanchai restaurant Duetto until January 2010.
We're holding our breaths that Duetto -- which serves both Italian and Indian food -- will follow Innocenti's class act with a Bollywood dancing chef who can shimmy out from the kitchen to the beat of tablas as he brings out our order of chicken tikka.
