Normal people who fall truly madly for a restaurant just visit it more often, but for property tycoon Kwok Ping-Sheung, he just had to import his favorite Parisian restaurant, Le Cinq, to create his very own in Hong Kong called Caprice. With Le Cinq's deputy chef, Vincent Thierry, at the helm, Caprice now stands on its own with a two-star Michelin rating.
The atmosphere may be a little over-the-top Versailles with its gold-hued and chandelier-lined decor, but one bite of the succulent Challans duck fillet with foie gras and we understood that such decadent food calls for opulent surroundings. Other much-loved dishes are the crispy pork belly and the cheese board sourced from master affineur Bernard Antony that is kept in climate-controlled rooms.
