agnes b. le pain grillé

You don't have to be a fashionista to dine at Le Pain Grillé Café  -- the restaurant venture of French fashion label Agnes b. -- you just have to be appreciative of consistently good conventional French food.

The classic French menu is so classic it borders on cliche, but the dishes are well executed, including bouillabaisse with condiments of cheese and rouille sauce (HK$85), duck foie gras and artichoke filled galettes (HK$180) and duck confit (HK$180).

Le Pain Grillé Café's decor evokes genteel European ambiance and temporarily transports diners to the French capital.

American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Cash

Other branches are located at Kingston Street (+852 2577 0370), Festival Walk (+852 2265 7681) and IFC (+852 2805 0798). Gets particularly crowded at lunch; reservations recommended.

I dont agree with your review that it transports me back to the French Capital and I would say that the food is somewhat mediocre under the brand of Agnes B. Also tried their restaurant in IFC and it is a horrorshow. If you want authentic French food, visit Monsieur Chatte on Bonham Strand and that is what I call real French food. Happy Eating! - Geoff.
