Hong Kong's very first burlesque pole dance show is coming tomorrow night to FINDS.

"The Art of Tease - A Night of Burlesque on the Pole" features Ania Przeplasko, Hong Kong's Polish expat pole-dance guru, and her titillating troupe of dancers. Ania is from the Aerial Arts Academy, a one-of-a-kind school in Hong Kong that specializes in dance and fitness training using hoops, ropes, silks and the pole. Central to the curriculum, the AAA brings Asian influences to the pole dance routine. Japanese pole dancers Lu Nagata and Mai from Art Flow Tokyo are slated for one-time workshops at AAA at the end of this month -- Nagata uses Japanese elements in her shows and will teach pole spinning, while Mai fuses ballet and pole dance.

Tomorrow night's show is HK$300 at the door (HK$250 advance), with a dress code exhorting "showgirls, pin-ups, glamour queens, anything burlesque-inspired." The show is co-organized by Passionately Yours, a new adult event management company in Hong Kong and a sign that the show's spectacles will trend more toward the sensual, Dita Von Teese end of the spectrum, rather than family-friendly Cirque du Soleil.
