FOTOBOX -- photo editing on the fly
No laptop? No problem. Find any computer and edit a video slideshow of grandma jumping into the panda enclosure
Plug it in, edit, send.
CNET's Crave picked up on a spiffy little bit of technology that should be of interest to wandering digital photographers -- FOTOBOX's USB SD card reader with built-in editing software.
While there are more powerful photography and video editing programs out there like Photoshop or Final Cut, the appeal of a fit-in-your-pocket, travelling editing suite is undeniable.Being able to plug a card reader into a hotel's business center computer, edit your stuff with the reader's software, then get it on Facebook, Twitter, or mail it out to friends, family or colleagues certainly sounds appealing.
FOTOBOX is slated to release next month with a retail of US$79.99 and is only compatible with Microsoft Windows.
