CNNGo TV surfs into Sydney

What started as a destination for British convicts in the late 1700s has evolved into one of the greatest lifestyle cities in the world today. 

Our tour of Sydney took us from the beach, to the eclectic neighborhoods, through the Central Business District, and -- not surprisingly -- back to the beach again.

Photographer/blogger/surf forecaster Eugene Tan started the website Aquabumps.com for office dwellers in need of a beach escape.

Today he runs a gallery, and sends his images to more than 40,000 people scattered across the globe.

Family design duo in Paddington

The neighborhood of Paddington is just a short stroll from the city center. It's filled with old terrace houses, quaint shops, and many cafes.

It's also home to many young Australian designers, including the brother and sister team of Camilla and Marc.

The best butcher in the world

Sydney is a barbecuer's dream this time of the year. And the butcher Victor Churchill in Woollahra is, according to chef Peter Gilmore, "The best butcher in the world."
