CNNGo reader Tina Cheung finds hope from the top of Mount Jumonjibaru in Beppu
BeppuFrom Mount Jumonjibaru, see the countless hot springs that occupy the southern city of Japan.

This photo was taken on top of Mount Jumonjibaru in a very modest town called Beppu. On one gloomy day, only to be made worse by the proliferating amount of work I had to do for my studies, I looked out my window and at that very moment a section of the cloud cover opened up. As cheesy as this may sound, this picture portrays hope and the 'silver lining', so to speak.

Situated two hours away from the Fukuoka airport, Beppu is known throughout Japan for its copious amount of natural hot springs, otherwise known as 'onsen'. Get to Mount Jumonjibaru by taking any bus that's bound for Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.
