Travellers to Sydney are treated to eerie views as a huge storm draped the harbor city in red dust
23 September, 2009Sydney residents and travellers to the harbor city awoke on Wednesday to eerie scenes as a huge dust storm choked the city.
An "extremely rare event," according to experts, the storm was expected to move north and hit the Queensland capital of Brisbane later in the day.
It provided spectacular scenes but wreaked havoc on transportation systems.
Those suffering asthma or other breathing problems were advised to stay indoors.
