iPad coming soon to Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore must wait
A sneaky weekend Apple press release details international iPad release dates
So close now, so close. Only a few more weeks (for Japan at least).Some semi-good news for those Apple fans frustrated by the international release delay of the iPad -- Japan gets the iPad on May 28, while the Hong Kong and Singapore international iPad launches are set for sometime in July (Source: Crave.) "Apple will announce availability, local pricing and pre-order plans for these nine additional countries at a later date," Apple said in a press release over the weekend. Bummer. But maybe by July there will be more iPad travel apps to choose from. We can hope.
For those in Japan, you can now pre-order the iPad. For other regions in Asia there has been no official word on iPad release dates from Apple.
