With Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland hitting the big screen, we here at CNNGo thought we'd take you on our own tour down the rabbit hole. Hotel rabbit holes to be more exact. These are those hotels in Asia where once you cross the threshold you'll feel like Alice did when she drank, shrank, and slipped into a stranger land.

Klapsons -- Singapore
If Alice drank a potion in Singapore, this is where she might end up. Klapsons displays a handcrafted five-meter stainless steel sphere suspended above the floor in the lobby that resembles something out of Star Trek. The rooms are Trek-worthy as well -- plenty of glass, revolving doors and cylindrical showers.

The Scarlet Hotel -- Singapore
Clad in flamboyant décor like glittery chandeliers, plump satin cushions, and chairs, and attendants wearing scarlet and black horseman coats, the Scarlet Hotel is what the end of the rabbit hole might look like if the Queen of Hearts was into gaudy chic design instead of lopping off heads.
Rooms feature theatrical S$30,000 beds, enough mirrors to make Angelina Jolie self conscious, and gold-plated taps you can see your reflection in.

Alpha-In -- Tokyo
In the Love Hotel category, Tokyo's Alpha-In offers up plenty of weirdness. Alpha-In's theme is "anything goes as long as it's consenting." From medical motifs with dress up doctor and nurses' costumes and an examination bed to S&M rooms for beginners with a white color theme, a restraint chair, and 'heaven hanger shackles' and suspension chains.

The Luxe Manor -- Hong Kong
This place is just plain strange. Like something out of a Salvador Dali painting, Luxe Manor's interior is a striking blend of decor styles that come together to give the impression you've arrived in a rich, eccentric's luxury home. This isn't a bad thing, as Luxe Manor definitely gives of a posh Mad Hatter vibe.
The Imperial Palace -- Mumbai
A visit to the Imperial Palace is like a trip through time to the age of George V or Paris's Hotel de Crillon. Lavish beyond lavishness -- garish to some -- a night in the Palace is one trip down the hole that will cost you.

For You Inn -- Bangkok
For You Inn could be the world’s most inappropriate love hotel. Taking a cue from Disney’s Toon Town, this Thai drive-in looks more like a fun house than a no-tell motel.
H Hotel -- Shanghai
Some of the H Hotel's themed rooms include the Audrey Hepburn, Hello Kitty and Chanel. Eight themed rooms include the all-pink Hello Kitty suite, replete with Hello Kitty ashtray, bathmat, stereo, manicure set and calculator. The jazzy red and white lobby is also a departure from whatever else you'll find in Shanghai, or anywhere else for that matter.
