Neonpunch Round-Up: The reality of Final Fantasy XIII and a new iPhone in two weeks

Plus a bunch of other cool stuff like iPhone games and camera apps and a look at Red Dead Redemption
new iPhone

It was just two weeks ago that Sony rolled out the Metal Gear Solid World Tour and now they are rolling out the next powerhouse tour with the release of Final Fantasy XIII in English this week.

Another crazed audience hit the Miramar Shopping Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong to welcome the producers of this beloved video game franchise. Project producer Shinji Hashimoto, FFXIII producer Yoshinori Kitase and FFXIII director Motomu Toriyama signed autographs and gave away a bunch of FFXIII merchandise.

So the wait is finally over for non-Japanese readers -- go out and get your English language Final Fantasy XIII game. See photos from the event here: Final Fantasy HK launch

If RPG’s isn’t your thing and you’d rather roam around as a cowby, Rockstar has released its Western-themed Red Dead Redemption this past week as well. Here are some of our early thoughts on it: Red Dead Redemption.

While we’re on iPhone, check out our three top iPhone camera apps too, to enhance what you can do with that two megapixel camera.

And finally, this is all leading to the big announcement by Steve Jobs on June 7 at Apple’s WWDC event. All signs on our Magic 8-Ball point to the launch of the new iPhone that you’ve probably already seen by now anyways. We’re sure The House of Jobs has a few more tricks up its sleeves so get ready to see how the company, that now has a bigger market cap than Microsoft, is going to revolutionize mobile technology in two short weeks: Steve Jobs keynote.
