"Please can you open the window?" "Is there a McDonald's onboard?" Virgin Atlantic cabin crew reveal their strangest on-board requests
Virgin Atlantic Cabin Crew surveyCan we have Dita Von Teese on board? Actually, that really happened. Last summer Sir Richard Branson held up the burlesque artist on the wing of a Virgin Atlantic Airways aircraft in Las Vegas.

Flying to 30 destinations around the world, you'd think the Virgin Atlantic crew encounters quite a wide spectrum of travelers on the job.

A recent survey of 3,000 cabin crew compiles a list of most unusual requests they have ever received.

In order of unusualness, they are:

"Can you show me to the showers?"

"Can you take my children to the playroom?"

"I have dropped my glass eye, please could you help me find it?"

"Is there a McDonald's onboard?"

"Please can you open the window?"

"Please can I have a cup of tea and book a massage for my Barbie doll?"

"Please can the captain stop the turbulence?"

"Could you turn the engines down because they are too noisy?"

Caroline Lynam, customer relations manager at Virgin Atlantic, says, “Virgin Atlantic crew will always go that extra mile to offer our customers the best possible service but there are some requests that even we find somewhat challenging."
