Awe, so cute! Too bad he was born in the Year of the Tiger as he's now destined to be a reporter. Michael Turton, author of the blog The View from Taiwan, recently translated the Taiwan Ministry of the Interior's baby-makin' slogan winners. Taiwan has the world's lowest birth rate.
This year is proving particularly troublesome, as the Year of the Tiger is associated with poor career options, so many are delaying their family plans to next year or beyond. But with the birthrate plummeting, Taiwan residents are being encouraged to produce children before things get too dire.
The best way to encourage people? Slogans of course. Everybody loves slogans.
