California, here we come: Thailand's Dusit International heads for L.A.
The well-known luxury hotel group announces plans to open its first property in the United States
The dusitD2 Pasadena is set to open in 2012.
To experience the Thai luxury brand in the United States travelers are going to have to head for Pasadena, California, part of Los Angeles county and best known for the annual Rose Bowl college football game.
Opening in 2012, the dusitD2 will be managed by Dusit International and have 136 rooms and suites targeting leisure and business travelers.
The heritage-listed property will be part of a downtown mixed-use development, which will include a hotel, offices, retail and restaurants.
Marketed as a contemporary version of the classic Dusit brand, the dusitD2 now has hotels in Chiang Mai and Pattaya, and has announced plans for a New Delhi property that will also open in 2012.
