SilkAir launches non-stop Singapore-Koh Samui flights

The Singapore Airlines' subsidiary now services the Thai island three days a week
SilkAirSilkAir is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, serving more than 35 Asian destinations.

More options for Singaporeans looking for a Thai getaway. And likewise for Koh Samui residents hankering for a taste of city life. SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, sent its first non-stop flight to the Thai resort island on Tuesday. 

The new flights are scheduled to operate three times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Koh Samui is SilkAir’s third destination in Thailand, joining Phuket and Chiang Mai.

According to a news release from the airline, Bangkok Airways will be the codeshare partner on these flights. SilkAir will also codeshare on Bangkok Airways’ daily evening services between Singapore and Koh Samui.

The new services are operated on Airbus 319 aircraft, featuring both Business and Economy Class cabins.
