Thailand feels the love at AsiaSpa Awards

Phuket's Six Senses Spa won one of the night's biggest prizes, "Destination Spa of the Year."AsiaSpa magazine held its 5th annual awards ceremony Thursday night at Hong Kong’s posh Armani Bar. Thailand won some of the night’s top prizes, but it’s clear spas in other parts of the region spent the year upping their games, such as Hong Kong and Beijing, which won multiple awards.
Thailand was given the big prize of the night, “Asian Spa Capital of the Year,” while Six Senses Destination Spa Phuket won another big award -- "Destination Spa of the Year." The resort’s 7,000-square meter Wellness Village is certainly pretty fancy, even as far as luxury spas go, featuring four interrelated spa concepts: Chinese, Indonesian, Indian and Thai.
Bangkok’s S Medical Spa won the “Medi-Spa of the Year” prize, while i.sawan at the Grand Hyatt Erawan was given the “Men's Spa Treatment of the Year” award for its "Man Space Healing Balance Massage." We could have told you both of those were winners. Oh wait, we did. In this earlier article on Bangkok’s “manly” spa treatments.
