The Eugenia: Relive Bangkok history (that never happened)

Many of The Eugenia's rooms may cramp your style, but at least you'll be cramped in style.
Thailand was never anybody’s colony, but you wouldn't know it staying at The Eugenia, a convincing shot-for-shot remake of a Raj-era manor.
The boutique hotel's outward appearance belies an interior flush with the genuine booty of erstwhile hunting excursions throughout its halls and antique Colonial-era furniture within its 12 suites. The look, if not the cost, is classic 1920s India.
Some of The Eugenia’s four different room types tend toward the Lilliputian, but those who treasure atmosphere will find it a small sacrifice. For the rest of us, a reading room and an elegant emerald pool provide a bit more breathing/breath-holding space, while a private dining room is also available.
To complete the motif, request one of The Eugenia's vintage airport transfer coaches. Packing a bad memory wouldn't hurt, either.
