Just in case you thought Bangkok didn't have quite enough luxury venues, here's another. Bring it on, we say. Siam Kempinski, the first Thai property for the European luxury hotel brand, has announced it will open for business in June.

Eagle-eyed Bangkok shoppers are likely to have already noticed the posh looking building going up right behind Siam Paragon, one of the city’s most popular luxury malls. According to Siam Kempinski’s GM, the resort will have 303 rooms and suites as well as 98 serviced apartments, bringing together "the best of East and West."

Overused hotel clichés aside, we’re excited -- especially for the impressive sounding eateries. These will include: Brasserie Europa, offering European fine cuisine; the Sra Bua Thai restaurant; the T Lounge, which will serve teas from around the world as well as cocktails and champagne; and the 1897 bar, named after the year that Kempinski first started business in Berlin.

The new property in Bangkok will also feature an executive lounge on the 17th floor, a 900 square-metre pillar-free ballroom, a rooftop spa, a kids' club, business center and four suites including a Royal Suite with a private rooftop garden. In a Kempinski tradition, a "lady in red" guest service officer in a flowing red dress will always be available to help guests.
