Just what Bangkok needs: Another luxury hotel/shopping mall complex

Owned by Thai shopping giant Central Retail Corp, building plans include a 37-floor complex featuring an eight-story retail and lifestyle area and a 30-floor luxury Park Hyatt with 222 rooms.
According to a report in The Nation, a sky-bridge will connect Central Embassy to upscale department store Central Chidlom, which will also undergo a refurbishment.
The Park Hyatt will reportedly open in Thailand in 2013 as the signature element of Central Embassy, billed by the Nation "as the most luxurious retail complex in Asia."
So do Bangkok’s luxury shoppers really need another place to blow their cash in addition to Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, Central Chidlom, CentralWorld, Emporium and Gaysorn?
Central seems to think so. The company reportedly expects to break even within 10 years.
