Bangkok's hippest tees

Bangkok's hippest tees

For those in search of something cooler than a 'No Money, No Honey' T-shirt, we proudly introduce Bangkoker
BangkokerBangkoker is so hip the owners only open the shop when they feel like it.

When it comes to T-shirts, Bangkok has its share of crimes against fashion. There are the tasteless beer brand tees, not to mention those with unfortunate sexual references, all of which are on sale along Sukhumvit Road and other tourist-y parts of the city.

Before you buy that tacky "I'M A VIRGIN (This is a very old T-shirt)" T-shirt, consider a much hipper alternative: Bangkoker, the shop where you'll find some of the coolest T-shirts in the city.

Started by a Thai architect with a passion for graphic design, this tiny shop has tees that are unique and visually compelling. Sample shirts include one with "Bangkok" written in Hindi, another with masses of electrical transformers that take on a hypnotic form and tees emblazoned with portraits of Thai movie stars from classic cinema. There are also bemusing slogans like: "I Love Serge," "The Vernacular Project" and many more with abstract designs.

Prices range from 270 to 370 baht. For 500-1,000 baht you can design your own shirt and the shop will print them for you.
