Tiger Woods coming to Thailand for tourney -- and a 'Hangover II' cameo?

For the first time in 10 years, the embattled golfer will hit the greens in his mother's home country

Thailand is abuzz with news that embattled golfer Tiger Woods is coming here to compete in a tournament in Chonburi next month in honor of His Majesty the King’s 60th year on the throne and 84th birthday.

The troubled golfer, whose mother is Thai, confirmed yesterday he’ll compete in the one-day "World Golf Salutes King Bhumibol" skins game at Amata Spring Country Club on November 8.

"The last time I played in Thailand was in 2000. I am really looking forward to coming back and hopefully win it all!" Woods said in a statement.

According to a report in the Bangkok Post, he’ll be playing alongside Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee, Englishman Paul Casey and Camilo Villegas of Colombia.

The timing couldn’t be more perfect if "The Hangover II" rumors are true. For months, media reports have cited director Todd Phillips saying he wants Tiger to make a cameo in the film, which will start shooting in Bangkok next month.
