Thailand's most eligible -- and unintelligible -- bachelors
Thailand's Cleo magazine has dug up 50 single men, most of them hot, some just plain odd
Bachelor No. 23 likes older women. And that's why I like him.
There are still a few weeks left to vote for Cleo magazine's Most Eligible Bachelor of 2009. The Thai publication released its 50 most eligible bachelors list last month, with the winner to be announced later this month.
First off, there are some lookers. I’ll admit that much. But some of them … well, let’s just say that if this represents the top of the dating food chain, I’m glad I’m married.
Blog Dirtii Laundry has been kind enough to provide English translations of interviews with the men nominated this year. So far, they’ve featured 33 of them in two parts.
To be fair, most of them seem like great guys. But some of the comments are hilarious -- many unintentionally so. Here are a few that gave me a chuckle:
No. 19, Natikorn “Dtoh” Pragopbhun: “My mother because I’ve never gone out on a date with her.”
Aw, that’s sweet. Because every woman wants a man who has a deep connection with his mother, right?
No. 30, Nanithit “Lek” Jarupun: “When she excuses herself to go to the bathroom.”
Do you want her to hold it in till her eyes turn yellow? Wait till you’re married, pal: excusing herself to use the facilities will be the least of your worries.
If you could make a device for women, what would it be?No. 32, Howard Lang: “A device that would make their breasts bigger when you press it.”
Appreciate the honesty, Howard. I’m sure you’re not alone.
What's creeped you out?No. 13, Sitsak "Tui–Tawan" Punsura: “Had a gay guy that I don’t know call me for phone sex.”
Yes, that might be a bit creepy. You definitely want it to be a gay guy that you know and trust calling you for phone sex.
My money, however, is on No. 23, Michael Wong (see video above). Love the tattoos, and the fact that he loves older women.
