Previous TCDC events have included an exhibit of famed designer Vivienne Westwood's creations and a look back at the origins of the humble noodle.

Before the establishment of the Thailand Creative Design Centre (TCDC), the closest thing to an art library for people in the design industry was a bookstore. Today half of the sixth floor of the Emporium shopping mall is home to two galleries, a gift shop, two cafes and a library dedicated solely to design and art.

Though the library is not free (membership is required), TCDC's exhibitions and events are open to the public. So far there have been shows covering everything from haute couture to street food, testament to the diversity of the Design Center's exhibitions.

TCDC is also home to the “Ploy Saeng Festival," an annual event that gives local gift makers and artists a platform on which to show off their goodies, and aspiring musicians a chance to showcase their work to the public.
