This may sound counterintuitive, but don’t wear long sleeves to Sub-Zero Ice Skate Club. Come bare-armed instead. It’s thrilling to catch chilly vapors off the ice while watching the rest of Bangkok sizzle through this high-rise rink’s glass windows.
Located on the Esplanade Mall’s fourth floor, Sub-Zero is one of few Thai venues where you’ll find a Zamboni or a greeter wearing furry Eskimo boots. Expect an ice rink populated with munchkin beginners gripping the railing for dear life, giggly teenagers skating in their school uniforms and a few hardcore rink rats who’ll skate circles around you. That’s not a figure of speech.
