Random bizarre video of the week: Laura and Dolly go to Bangkok

We came across this little oddity today and admittedly were fascinated. And somewhat confused.

According to the creator Laura’s blog, she and her rag doll “Dolly” have been “exploring different lifestyles together and role-playing an intimacy typically associated with romantic human relationships while exploring our own (totally creepy) life.” Creepy? Naw. 

“Our hope is to examine growing frustration in climate change and collective human failure. The conception of this project blossomed out of my growing rage with changes in climate and the literal desertification of planet earth and how these global influences affected reoccurring themes in intimacy, procreation and human relationships.”

Ok, so now it makes sense. And considering a Japanese man recently married a video game, perhaps it's not all that strange. At least you can hold Dolly's hand.

Anyways, Laura brought Dolly to Bangkok and as you can see in the above video they were pretty busy. Actually, it’s not a bad video travelogue. You’ve got tuk tuks, motorbike taxis, riverside beer, the BTS, a go-go bar, Khao San Road and some temples. Looks like the perfect romantic getaway to us.
