'The Hangover 2' news watch: Bill Clinton to make a cameo

The former U.S. president squeezes in a little acting for "The Hangover 2" while in Bangkok

Former United States prez Bill Clinton reportedly filmed his cameo while in Bangkok on Saturday.
Bangkok residents have been happily swept up in "The Hangover 2" madness now that filming for the most talked about sequel of the year is underway here.

Twitter users have been tweeting their personal blurry shots of shoots in progress on Sukhumvit Road, along with the latest gossip surrounding plots and cast cameos that the U.S. gossip rags are quick to report on. 

This morning’s surprise tidbit says former U.S. President Bill Clinton just shot a cameo while here to give a speech on clean energy. Clinton, who'll play himself in the comedy, shot his brief appearance on Saturday in Bangkok, reports People.com.

Here are some of the other "Hangover 2" related bits of gossip that have come out over the last few days:

- Paul Giamatti, best known for his role in "Sideways," will soon be flying to Thailand to appear in a cameo role in "The Hangover 2."

- Though Mel Gibson was axed from the film, reportedly due to a backlash from the film’s cast, he’s still getting paid, reports Perezhilton.com.

- Spoiler alert: TMZ.com ran some photos from the set of "Hangover 2" shot last week on Sukhumvit Road. “They're hilarious ... but they could spoil a thing or two about the flick,” says the site.

-  No online reports have mentioned this, but our own "Hangover 2" sources tell us the film shoot will be heading to Krabi. More specifically, the swanky Ritz Carlton Phulay Bay.
