United States launches massive multi-nation military exercise on Thailand's Eastern Seaboard

Dubbed “Cobra Gold," the exercise will run until February 11 and includes over 14,000 soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen from Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and South Korea.
At the opening ceremony at U-Tapao Airport, U.S. Ambassador Eric G. John said representatives from more than 20 countries are expected to participate, observe or support the war game.
