Vindicated! Miss Thailand Universe named 'Most Photogenic'
Miss Thailand Universe poses in her award-winning National Costume.Looks like the critics who took issue with Miss Thailand Universe’s sexy posing last week will be eating their words today.
Fonthip Watcharatrakul has not only won the National Costume award, but was voted “Most Photogenic” out of the 83 contestants participating in the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant, which aired this morning (Monday night in the U.S.) in Las Vegas.
Last week, Thai gossip blog Dirtii-laundry.net reported that media and netizens here were complaining that photos of Miss Thailand posing with fellow contestants were highly inappropriate as they showed her lifting her leg up in a revealing red dress. The beauty queen defended herself on her Facebook page, though clearly no further comment is necessary given the vindication that comes with her "Most Photogenic" win.
The winner of this year’s Miss Universe pageant, by the way, is Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete. The only Asian contestant to make the final 15 was Miss Philippines.
