Espresso is a modern bistro serving international dishes. Both a la carte and buffet selections are available. This Sunday, there are sure to be a few self-induced headaches following the United States-England World Cup game, which airs at 1:30am Bangkok time. (Not sure where to watch? We’re bringing our hangovers to the InterContinental’s Espresso restaurant now that they've brought back their decadant champagne and seafood brunch after a brief hiatus.
What caught our attention are the Maine lobsters and Alaskan crabs. Not exactly easy to come by in this city. Other delights include Japanese-grade sashimi and caviar, Pacific and Fine De Claire oysters, Rougie foie gras, Wagyu prime rib beef as well as tiger and river prawns.
The price is 1,599 baht per person, plus taxes, which includes water, soft drinks, tea and coffee. If you prefer to cure your morning after pains with the hair of the dog, add 999 baht to that for free flow Veuve Clicquot Champagne, wine, beer and cocktails. Resident jazz trio “Swing Time” will be providing the brunch tunes.
