Enjoy them, but don't let the views at Sirocco overshadow the food.
If one Bangkok restaurant has managed to make a name for itself on the global stage, it's Sirocco.
The restaurant has been featured in pretty much every travel magazine worth its glossy paper, and has won numerous readers' choice awards.
The food on this 63rd-floor restaurant atop Lebua hotel in the State Tower is often overshadowed by the venue's famous views. Those views also add to the price tag, making Sirocco one of Bangkok's most expensive dining experiences.
It's worth it.
The Mediterranean cuisine is fresh and authentic. Some of our expert panel's favorite dishes include Mediterranean octopus a la plancha with potato confit, smoked paprika and piquillo pepper essence; oven-roasted Chilean sea bass with vine-ripe tomato "Pain Perdu,” saffron potatoes and Manila clam velouté; and Wagyu beef tenderloin persillade "La Ratte" with potato puree, glazed seasonal vegetables and oxtail jus.
