Shangarila: Divine dim sum

Though Shangarila hasn’t been updated in decades (and neither, it seems, has the waitstaff or the patrons), there’s a reason this old restaurant in the middle of Chinatown keeps drawing the crowds.

Incredible weekend dim sum brunches are often packed and at other times during the day you’ll still be able to order dumplings along with standard Thai-Chinese and Cantonese dishes.

Most get seated in the Shangarila main dining room but push for one of the smaller rooms upstairs for a quieter place to eat and slightly better decor.
