A large bowl of Nat Pop's delicious green curry with pork.
If you're looking for top quality but cheap Thai food, Chef McDang, one of our panelists, says you should head outside the city limits of Bangkok. More specifically, Nat Pop in Nonthaburi.
Nat Pop actually means "meeting place" in Thai, a fitting name for a spacious and clean, simple Thai restaurant out in the suburbs.
Nat Pop is more akin to a food court than a restaurant, with different stations offering all the usual Thai greats such as khao mun gai, curries, noodle soups, som tam and khao gaeng. You don't need even need to look on the menu, just walk around and pick what you want right at the counter.
