A lunchtime classic, stir-fried pork with basil on rice, at an outdoor Langsuan stall.
"Langsuan during the day time, on weekdays, feeding the corporate crowd from the neighborhood," says Bangkok 101 publisher Mason Florence, and Best Eats panel expert, when asked for his favorite midday street food neighborhood.
Soi Langsuan, a leafy street in central Bangkok just north of Lumpini Park, is where hungry Thai office workers congregate during the week for their lunchtime grub.
You'll find several small mom-and-pop restaurants and dozens of street vendors serving fried rice, noodles, green chicken curry, Thai sausage, sliced mango, sweets, Thai milk tea -- name the dish, you can find it here.
The alleyway is narrow, and the area pulsates with life.
