Indus
Relaxed staff and excellent cuisine make Indus a leading contender for the top Bangkok Indian restaurant title.

With so many Indian restaurants around Bangkok it’s hard to pick a favorite. But Indus, a large restaurant, bar and café in a California-style bungalow off of clogged Sukhumvit Road, might be finally edging the older competition out of the running.

The dinner-time DJ made us feel like the place is trying a little too hard to be cool but the service and food are excellent, the atmosphere relaxed yet elegant.

There’s an extensive menu of regional Indian food but those dying for another plate of Pad Thai will find a few local dishes, too.
