Valentine’s Day is rough when you’re single. All that talk of romance, candlelit dinners and heart-shaped chocolates that gets stuffed in your face.

But you don’t have to hide in a closet this weekend. Try these three Bangkok Valentine’s Day parties geared towards singles.

Friday night: The Room

Here’s a party for the singles out there who have no interest in finding their soul mates: “F*** You True Love.” On from 9:30pm at Soi Langsuan’s The Room, the dress code for this shindig is “white bride & groom/go to a wedding.” There will be a cursing board, special shows and pop electro music. Entrance is 150 baht, which includes a free drink.

Saturday night: Glow

Bangkok nightclub Glow, on Sukhumvit 23, is hosting a Saturday night Valentine’s Day party for singles that includes games and lucky draws. One game in particular sounds rather awkward: At the entrance they’ll separate tickets for guys and gals, and each person will draw one number then have to find their match inside.

Prizes include a romantic dinner, aquarium ticket, movie ticket, gift card, bottle of whisky and a big box of condoms. Yes, that’s what they said. Price is 200 baht per person, which includes one drink.

Sunday night: Bangkok Rocks

On Sunday night, the official Valentine's Day, Bangkok Rocks is hosting an event that includes speed dating, live bands and a few local DJs. The love fest begins at 9 pm and ends late. There is no cover for the Bangkok Rocks Valentines Day event while beer, wine and vodka mixers will be 100 baht per glass.
