Parking Toys' bands give the bar its full-on energy. We've never had a disappointing night there. Or a sober one.
Hidden away in suburban Bangkok, Parking Toys is a kitschy drinking haven catering mostly to the workaday crowd. It’s a sprawling bar, full of long sofas where big groups can cram in, camp out and booze it up. The décor is thrift-store chic.
Best of all are Parking Toys' bands, which perform regularly. They all tend to play anything chipper and upbeat. One minute they’re zipping through hyperactive ska. The next minute it’s an Elvis tune delivered with buzzsaw guitars and a female crooner.
It's the perfect spot to get silly with big groups or make friends with strangers. Definitely worth the drive out of the city center.
