Distil bar @ Lebua hotel, Bangkok
The Distil bar at Lebua hotel

Impressive panoramas well above the traffic fumes make Bangkok’s rooftop hangouts a popular option for drinks out. Hefty price tags often accompany the city skyline vistas, but when the vantage points, and the vibes, are this good, it's worth it.

Distil at Lebua Hotel, State Tower

1055 Silom Road

Situated on Lebua hotel’s 64th floor Distil bar is one of the best places to escape the stifling heat for a sundowner. Often overlooked for next door Skybar, Distil is the more laidback (and often less crowded) of the two but still dress to impress.

Three Sixty Lounge, Millenium Hilton

123 Charoennakorn Road, Klongsan

Perched like a UFO atop the riverside Millenium Hilton hotel, the Three Sixty Lounge commands impressive views over Bangkok’s skyline. Take the external glass-walled elevator for extra wow factor –- not for the faint-hearted.

Gazebo Night Club

Khao San Road

The budget rooftop option, Gazebo is a Lonely Planet staple, with cool tunes, Moroccan style shisha pipes and comfy cushions to lounge back on.

The Long Table

Sukhumvit Soi 16

Despite super slick décor and a stunning view, The Long Table is one of Bangkok’s lesser known rooftop spots. Situated conveniently close to the Sukhumvit strip, it channels understated cocktail chic.

I thought one of the top spots was Banyan Tree Hotel's Moon Bar... Worth mentioning... very expensive though... but fantastic views from the 62nd floor open rooftop.

I'd also recommend The Nest, down at Le Fenix Hotel, sukhumvit 11. It's seriously cozy in those nest-like beds.
