Nothing is quite like durian, the pungent - some say rotten-smelling - fruit that is soft on the inside, prickly on the outside and one of Southeast Asia's most famous delicacies. I like to think my love for that fruit is like my love for Asia, a region I've lived in for six years, and one I come to respect and appreciate more each day.

From Thailand to Cambodia to my current home in Jakarta, Indonesia, I like to keep moving. And I plan to use these pages to write about the exciting things I learn along the way.
