Author: Misha Janette

I was drawn to the flash and panache of Tokyo's fashion scene and fulfilled my dream to get a unique inside view of its industry by attending Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo. Since graduation in 2007 I have worked as a freelance stylist and costume designer for pop-stars, actresses and magazines, as well as write for publications such as "The Japan Times," "Kyodo News," "Numero Tokyo," and "SO-EN." I also translate and interpret for many publications and companies within and out of the fashion realm.

My passion for the unique diversity of the fashion landscape in Tokyo and around the world led me to start a bilingual fashion commentary and style site, Frivolite, and an accompanying online shop that sells unique items from local accessories designers.
