She is the author of three books about Japanese pop culture and food, including Cute Yummy Time and Crazy Wacky Theme Restaurants: Tokyo – for which she did all the photos and illustrations. Both books were released in October, accompanied by a US major city book tour.
Her hugely popular Japanese fashion/pop culture blog has been featured in major publications, including The New Yorker, WWD, Village Voice, LA Times. She has appeared on The Today Show and co-hosted an episode of Bizarre World with Andrew Zimmern for Travel Channel
