Author: Cameron Allan McKean
Cameron Allan McKean lives and works in Tokyo. Born in South Australia, he lived in Cooranbong and Sydney before moving to study psychology and sociology in Auckland. There, he completed research on community art initiatives, religious sects and writing his dissertation on truth-telling and lies.
After brief working spells in Kenya and Russia, he came to Tokyo in 2007 and now lives and works from a cramped Shinjuku apartment, just down the road from Tokyo's downtown Defense HQ. He writes about culture and art coming out of Japan and Australasia for sources such as Papersky, Art Asia Pacific, Tokyo Art Beat, Art Review, TV3 New Zealand, and emerging publications such as Here and There Magazine and Apartamento.
